How can I change the date that my policy is set to start?

If you're in the process of getting a quote or setting up a new policy, you can select a start date up to 30 days in the future. For puppies and kittens not yet old enough for coverage, you can apply for a policy when they are at least 2 weeks old and set the start date that is when they reach 6 weeks old, which is the minimum age requirement for new policies. 


If you’ve already set up your policy and need to change its start date, we can't modify it once it's in place. However, you can cancel the current policy and start a new one with the preferred start date. If this is done within the 30-day cooling-off period, we'll cancel the original policy and issue a refund (if you have not made a claim). 


Important note on payments: Your first payment will be processed when you purchase the policy by completing the application, not on the policy start date. If you want your payment to be processed on a specific day, make sure to apply for your policy on that day.
