Do I need to provide any documentation before I apply?

No, you don't need to provide any documentation when you apply for a policy. You will need to submit certain documents when you make your first claim.

Here’s what we’ll need:

- Itemised invoice: A detailed invoice showing each treatment item and the total costs, confirming the payment of a vet bill.

- Vet consultation notes: Notes from your vets covering the examination and any treatments provided.

If you haven't completed a pre-existing condition assessment at the start of your policy, we'll do a full assessment at the time of your first claim. Just give us a list of your pet’s previous vets, and we'll handle collecting their medical records.

For adopted pets, the required documents will vary as outlined below:

- Adopted from a shelter: A copy of your pet’s adoption papers or certificate.

- Adopted from a private purchase: Proof of ownership transfer, like a receipt or transaction details.

- Veterinary care records if your pet has travelled from abroad.

Providing these documents when you make your first claim will help streamline the assessment and claims process.
