Is this (condition/illness) covered in my policy?

We cover the costs relating to {insert condition} as long as it’s not a pre-existing condition and your exclusion periods have ended without signs or symptom of {insert condition}.

If your pet has already shown signs or symptoms of {insert condition} before you started the policy or during an applicable exclusion period, it’s considered a pre-existing condition and not covered. We also don’t cover any elective or preventative treatments.

Petsy Pet Insurance covers almost every type of accidental injury and illness unless it is specifically listed as not covered. A Petsy Pet Insurance can cover diagnostics, procedures, medications and surgery cost relating to accidental injuries and illnesses, including hereditary conditions, chronic conditions and infections.

If you've already paid for treatment of {insert condition}, you can submit a claim. Our Australian vet nurse assessors will review your vet's diagnosis, test results, and your pet’s medical history.

All claims are formally assessed based on your vet's clinical history and your policy terms and conditions. After reviewing all necessary information, we’ll provide a claim outcome.

If you want to know whether an upcoming treatment or procedure will be covered, you can submit a pre-approval. This works like submitting a claim in advance, and we’ll let you know if it’s covered and how much is covered, based on an estimate from your vet.
