What's not covered?

Created by Insurance Team Petsy, Modified on Sun, 15 Sep, 2024 at 1:46 PM by Insurance Team Petsy

Petsy Pet Insurance covers a lot, but it's important to understand what's not covered, such as:

- Pre-existing conditions when the signs or symptoms appear before the exclusion period ends, including those noted in your pet's medical history.

- Bilateral conditions (affecting both sides of the body). If one side shows signs before the exclusion period ends, the other side won't be covered if it later affects the other side.

- Issues that don't relate to an accidental injury or illness. - Routine and preventive care such as vaccinations, desexing, and regular health check-ups.

- Breeding-related costs or experimental treatments.

For a full list of exclusions, refer to the Summary of Exclusions section in our Product Disclosure Statement (PDS). We also offer a pre-existing condition assessment after you purchase a policy to help you understand any exclusions, based on your pet's medical history.
