What is an excess?

An excess is a portion of the eligible vet bills that you must pay before we cover vet bills for accepted claims. It's taken off your total vet costs before we calculate your reimbursement. Your excess resets yearly. You can change your excess, increasing or reducing it when your policy renews.

Petsy gives you 5 options: $0, $150, $200, $300, or $500. It's important to note that we only have an annual excess, which is different from a per condition or per claim excess.
